A great grilling experience always includes presentation. Taking a Steak off the grill with the perfect sear marks just adds to the anticipation and dining experience. You may be asking, how can I do that on my Grill? Here are a couple tips we have found to work, they are fast and simple, (which is why they are my favorite!).

- A Hot Grill is Critical – preheat for 10-15 minutes on a gas grill or make sure coals are white hot on Charcoal and keep hood closed during this time.
- Prepare the meat with Cooking Oil or you can spray on cooking oil like PAM™ or similar products applying directly to the meat (note; this will help spice rubs adhere to the meat) At the same time you apply oil to meat, also apply to the Grill Grids and allow to heat up for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- One added way to enhance your grill marks is to apply a little brown sugar to a spice rub or even sprinkle directly on to the surface of the meat. This will give you a more pronounced grill mark.
Lastly Grill Marks are not only for cuts of meat i.e. Steaks, Burgers, and Chops. Grill Marks can enhance your presentation of Vegetables and Fruits! Ever try fresh Grilled Pineapple? It’s great on Chicken!
Bon Appetite!
